Her best feature: Her toe beans
Her favorite food: All of them
Pusheen is a pleasantly plump cat who has warmed hearts and tickled funny bones of millions worldwide with her signature GIF animated bops, bounces, and tail wiggles. Now, Pusheen is ready to make the leap from digital to print in her first comic collection! Learn what makes her purr and find out why millions of people have already fallen in love with this naughty, adorable kitty.
What I like about I Am Pusheen the Cat is that she parties every weekend, and she loves to eat food. Her comics are so funny, and it’s different from other books that I have. Pusheen is so cute that I could just squeeze her! I like that she is always smiling and always happy. This makes her even cuter. One of the funniest parts is when she shows her Guide to Sleeping Positions, like the horizontal zombie and the beached whale. Oh, and the roast turkey. They’re all funny! One of my favorite parts is when she is showing cat etiquette, and she says If you must barf, do so on the rug, and Be sure to kick litter all over the floor. (That part reminds me of Scratchy, my cat.)
Why I Love This Book:
I Am Pusheen the Cat is just downright adorable. But what makes it even more desirable is that it’s actually funny where children and adults can catch the humor. The pictures are super cute, and I agree with Punkee that Pusheen looks squeezable and squishable. This book normally advertises for upper elementary and middle school kids, but I felt perfectly comfortable with my second grader nabbing this book at a Scholastic book fair. What girl could deny a squishy, fat, funny cat? I’ve even witnessed boys giggling at some of the humor she produces. I Am Pusheen the Cat is very readable, and I feel is pretty desirable for even elementary kids as the words are large enough and the pictures are attractive. We keep this book on hand at all times.
